Soul Silver Whirl Island Help?

I have only played gold and not soul silver and whirl island is not the same. i cant find lugia/the girls so any help or links to walkthroughs

I believe you have to have all 8 badges, obtained the maste ball from prof. elm and then defeat the kimono girls. Then you should be able to find lugia

 

He's asking how to traverse the cave.

There's a youtube video showing the most direct route to Lugia. Also, carry an Escape Rope...unless you want to go through the WHOLE cave just to get out.

 

also get some Max Repels. Caves are infamous for a billion encounters every 3 steps.

 

You only need one if you take the shortest possible route...
And I thought Max Repels were a given, when cave dwelling...
