Soul Silver Help!

Sometimes, whenever I use Pokemon Soul Silver, the game freezes straight after I save, or when I enter/exit a building! What do I do???

I'm not using a patch! I just have the Japanese version of it, and it keeps freezing! Please note: I'm not using a patch.

Thanks! Now I can enjoy the game without it freezing! But I downloaded the pre-patched one... If I delete the unpatched one and keep the save file from the unpatched and rename it to the patched file, does it keep the save file???

 

Yes the save file will work

 

Probably not. Usually patch roms change their original game ID. And it would consider the the save file of the unpatched rom a corrupted save file and delete it. I haven't tried it myself, though.

 

The firmware wouldn't identify a save file with a ROM through it's GameID though, the save-file doesn't contain such information. You just have to make sure they have the same filename without extension so the firmware can reference a save-file to its ROM.
