Hi all, I have a R4 SDHC using a regular DS, i believe this card is a clone (4G card) I currently have firmware 1.34 on the card from the (R4SDHC website, been on there a while now). I would like to upgrade the firmware as this current one will not work with a lot of the games. I have read some stuff about wood firmware. okay, ya gotta give us a chance to respond, i just woke up and am replying -.-" first off, Wood R4 will not work on anything except for original, so your best bet is to use YSMenu with the latest stuff as an extra firmware...let me see if i can find the guid for ya. okay the following SHOULD be able to help ya... http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=43121.msg818800;topicseen#msg818800 i don't use a clone myself, and would actually recommend getting a new flashcart.. if you plan on using it with a NDS lite only, i recommend CycloDS or AceKard 2i if you plan on using it with a NDSi i recommend AceKard 2i, or Supercard DS 2, they're all fairly cheap (except CycloDS) so if you got the money, get a new card the site i recommend: http://ishopvideogame.com/ they're the only site i use, so i do recommend buying a new card, otherwise, follow the YSMenu guide.

well...that depends on your price limit...now by "regular" DS...there are a couple different ones, soi'm not really sure what you mean by "regular"...so i'll post some images, and solutions.. if you got one of the following.. NDS lite: NDS phat: use either CycloDS or AK2i cyclo: http://www.ishopvideogame.com/cyclods-evolution-for-ds-lite-slot-micro-sd-adapter-p-1751.html AK2i: http://www.ishopvideogame.com/acekard-2i-p-1509.html if you own a DSi (you can tell by the circular camera on the top...) then i recommend the SCDS2 http://www.ishopvideogame.com/supercard-dstwo-for-dsi-xl-dsi-p-1868.html they're all cheaper than a game (other than cyclo) so it is really worth it for the 100% compatibility
well...after tax/Shipping the CycloDS comes to around $60 if that's outta your range, i recommend the AceKard 2i...but if you wanna be able to play GBA games to, i recommend the supercard DS 2 (all of which are found in the previous post) but any of the 3 i named are GREAT, so it's up to you which one you want (i myself prefer the supercard DS 2)
you can just use ysmenu, by using the link to my thread that ryan posted it is really good, since it has great compatibility with games, but the presentation of ysmenu looks bad if you dont mind this then keep your r4, its a great card with ysmenu. if you want to get a new one, you should get cycloDS. or if you want gba games aswell, get the supercard dstwo. these 2 cards are a little expensive, like 35 dollars. if you want a great card, and cheap, you can get the acekard 2i
