Soon to have R4

I will Be installing my R4 with this...
R4 Kernal v1.18 + DSTT v1.17a12

And games I'm Sure i will be playing are
Pokemon Platinum
zelda Spirit Tracks
World Ends with you

1. I've heard alot of problems with pokemon Platinum, My biggest concern being the .sav file corrupting itself
Can I fix this Before i get far into the game and if so how?
2. I heard a about a few Problems with spirit Tracks and controlling the train..... All i need to do is patch the .nds and it will work Fine right?
3.And being a first Time R4 user Is there anything else i should know?

Sorry for the annoyance I may cause anyone Beforehand...

 

1.Pokemon Platinum runs fine with 1.18 and YSMenu, so you should be fine
2.Actually, for R4 users there is more to it then just running the patcher, view the official topic for more details.
3.Not really, except that there really old and out of date, so capability isn't as great as some newer flash cards.

So ysmenu alone, DSTT v1.17a12 YSmenu For R4 Original Users

R4 Kernal v1.18 + DSTT v1.17a12 pre-packed , Boot ysmenu.nds like a game to run ysmenu

And yes for zelda it will make 1MB .sav file , my zelda save points https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=30568.0

 

To install simply download the firmware of your choice.(all possible firmwares are in the tutorial) Then extract the files to a folder. Once you've done that go to the folder where you extracted the files and drag and drop all the extracted files to the root of you micoSD.(make sure you format your microSD first) Then just put all the games you want and enjoy~
