http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7otQV93Oao4&feature=player_embedded 3d games have been around since the old gaming days. they used glasses to play them on tv. it seems that sony has been trying to catch up with the nes and master system all along.
the glasses didn't make it pop outta the screen, just made it look 3D i believe.....all systems technically do 3D now days....
On another note, if 3D TV is anything like the 3D in movies currently, I have no interest in ever getting a 3D TV. The 3D in movies has been barely noticeable and very disappointing. The 3DS though, it's looking like Nintendo knew what we wanted when they made 3D.
loony, there are no glasses required for the 3ds. the 3ds is beyond glasses. beyond the master system and the nes. the ps3 is not beyond glasses. the ps3 requires glasses for 3d, similar to the master system and the nes. with all the powers sony have in the electronic industry and the money sony has, they have not managed to make 3d without glasses. it is only nintendo who managed?!
Anyone else notice Ultra made the topic? And shouldn't be taken seriously and wasting time upon his thoughts?
I knew that....But they really do sell 3DS glasess for the 3DS although we don't need them, a scam perhaps?
More than likely to help those that may not be able to properly see the rendered 3D on their own. Eyes can be messed up in many different ways.
OK, where did you see that? Because it sounds kinda like BS, sorry. Also, I'm pretty sure those "3D Glasses" for that Sega, didn't make it 3D, I think it was some lame gimmick, pretty much the picture is fucked up, and then the glasses un-fuck them, or something like that.
...tsk tsk ultra. It's possible for 3rd parties to make such things. I heard some game store had a service where they install game consoles... There would be people stupid enough to want glasses for a 3DS, trust me.
Why are you blaming Sony for having glasses? Why not blame Samsung, Panasonic and Sony and move theatres for still having glasses? The 3DS without glasses makes sense, as the screen makes it ideal for a handheld device. Because it's a smaller viewing angle. Having that for a TV is ridiculous at this point. You're supposed to view the TV at an exact angle to get the 3D effect. Also 3D has been around for more than 5 decades, going by your logic, Sega and Nintendo were just playing catch up in that department.
