Sony patents "degradable" demos

    If they give us say...90% of a game then that doesn't sound so bad.

    What I'm hoping for though is people still make single level demos that last forever.



    Apparently, you could buy the game's code which enables full usage again (unless my sleepy state mis-read the story).


    WHat do you think-it doesn't mean the whole demo shall die, just degrades back to a limited state.

    This prevents the use of over playing a demo I guess. This is very good for multiplayer demos. As some people play those for years. Battlefield 2 demo still has an active community.

    This is also like the Fable 2 thing that Lionhead did, they had one free playable chapter of the game, and if you wanted to progress, you had to buy the next few chapters or the game to play the rest. I think it's cool.
