you should! it's a really great idea but there was nothing implemented which means they have no interest or don't know what to do with it. when nintendo released the motion controller, there was software with it and not some tech demo.

it's like a concept idea of something and not actual creation. just like concept cars, they're great but it means nothing because the real thing doesn't exists.

I actually found it to look and work great.

I really don't know why anyone wouldn't like it.

It isn't there to work great, or to look good, or to be used well... It's there because Sony knows how well the Wii has sold, so this is their way of "capturing the casual market" - by trying to steal market share from Nintendo and the Wii. You do realise that no proper developer will use the technology, right? They're not going to decide, out of the blue, that they'll use this motion sensing technology just because it's on Sony's console.

Maybe this is why we are seeing an early tech demo, so that devs get time to work on the system and contribute to further system development. Time will tell but this has the potential to be a very immersive product, and if Sony open the door for 3rd party involvement at the hardware level then it could have a bright future.

I think we're being very negative about this product. Just by looking at it, it looks and feels better to use than the wii mote.

Game consoles have copied eachother time and time again. But saying this, I still don't think it will be successful, as the playstation Eye will also be needed. It all adds up to be expensive in the end.

I thought it was a successful performance by sony to show this product, I'm sure some first party game will pick this up in the future.

    What the...
Is Sony trying to beat Microsoft in copycatting controllers? WTF IS GOING ON!?

The thing that annoys me with Sony's thing is that the wands are not controllers, they're just used so the eye toy can see them. I can't see this product being used a lot by games. The Microsoft Natal thing is pretty cool although same thing, not a lot of games will use it, although you can probably use a controller in conjunction.

Unlike the Wii, the Wii's main feature is motion control, if your system does not have that as a main feature, devs will not develop for it, look at the eye toy for the Playstation 2, there wasn't a lot of games for it.
