So, why is it that...

My save states literally CAN'T load themselves...? I had to start over in one of my games already, and it's annoying me.. My control settings don't even save. I saved the GAME ITSELF as well, that didn't show up either....

Again, why is this happening? >.<

    What emulator are you using?

No$gba, you think that could be the reason or something?

My friend has the exact same Emulator, and his game saved fine, so I don't get it.

no$gba is one of the best GBA and NDS emulators. Save states or Snapshots, don't really work on no$gba for NDS games as it tends to make the ROM image crash a lot. You will need to read the Common Issues thread that has been stickied in Technical Help to find out on how to save on no$gba.

But that still doesn't explain why it wouldn't save normally... Meh, I'll check it out. Thanks for trying at least.

NDS games use different types of memory to save, in No$GBA you need to tell it which type to use for each game. Find it in options as 'backup media' and keep trying different settings until you find one that works.

See, I did that, but here's exactly what's happening.

I have it set to 512KB Flash, like the 'common issues' thread says, and it DOES save... But the second I close the emulator, it erases. And my friend who also downloaded it is using the same settings. And his saved fine. You think if I just try a different one it'll save normally?

the save type varies by game, so yes it is a matter of finding the one that works for that particular game.

I understand what you're saying and all, but...

We have the exact same settings with the exact same game... But only his saves correctly. That is what I don't understand.

  10. I don't know why thats happening, but heres my suggestion
remove the game and emulator, and anything related.
then get them again, don't know what website you got them from...but www.emulator-zone.com is the best out there
and of course...romulation for roms ^_^

As a last resort, I'll try that...

Who knows, maybe that's all I need?

I honestly don't know what that had to do with anything, but it DID work....

Thank you soooooo much! Goodbye frustration! =D (Translation: Problem solved. You can close or lock this thread if you want to now)

  14. it was probably missing a little bit of the program or something...

Unlikely, or else it would just crash a lot.
