So it freezes at the same time that most other people complain about, (in the scene after the first battle, when Neku passes Beat) and I can't get it to work at all. I've tried the folding trick several times, and the Japanese version has no problems, but I can't read Japanese. I am using:
    Acekard 2,
the very latest firmware (as of yesterday morning),
    and a Japanese-made 4GB Kingston.

By the way, I'm not very tech-savvy, so please be as detailed (and still easy-to-understand) as possible. Thank you, in advance. Note: I tried looking for this question already, but everyone else I found was using a different flashcart, and I didn't want to mess anything up.

Backup all your data and reformat your card.

Thanks, but...How do I do that? Reformat the card, I mean.

Go to My Computer and right click on the "Removable Disk" (whichever one is your MicroSD card) then click Format. :>

The right way to format is choosing FAT16 always, in some PCs it only says FAT, that's the one you should choose. (not FAT32)

Where do you get this information from?

    Go read again.

Mine just says FAT so there's no confusion.

bullshit, fat16 has a drive size limit of 2GB, so only half his card would be usable.

    That will be fat32

Well, I reformatted the card (using FAT32, it's the only one my computer shows) and put everything back on, but it still freezes, just a half-second later than before. None of the patches like cheats or soft-reset are on, and I've tried everything else I can think of (I tried the folding trick again out of desperation, but just like every other time it doesn't play anything while it sleeps, so it can't progress past the glitch). Can anyone think of something else to try?

Settle down. I dont recall using that tone with anyone.
I am mistaken, I didnt read he was using a 4GB Card. I guess I am accustomed that the R4DS only supports cards no bigger than 2GBs.

The SDHC R4 supposedly do. Still, FAT is the way to go.
