What non-obvious things should I know?

Also, I looked up psn point cards but I'm confused. Are they available in the US or not? I can't do anything credit/debit card related and there are a few things on the PSN that I'd like to get.

Just letting you know, if the psp get's hacked-forget about stuff from the psn.

And hacking it later on actually deactivates them, meaning if bought on a console that isnt hacked, then hacked, they stop working.

As for the psn cards, of course they are, I bought a card before (though I just got the code to redem it instead, saves postage XD)

not to mention you can download most of the hacked version PSN stuff online.

So... What if I wanted to use LBP's online AND have the PSP hacked?

Also: I've already heard that 1gb isn't very practical for games and movies and such.... So hacking isn't in my best interest until I can get a bigger mem stick.

There ain't many good games that fits on a 1gb memory card. Trust me i have one

    Yeah, I know. I've researched a little.

But seriously, with the amount of mem stick space I've got, all I'd even get if I hacked that PSP were a few imports I couldn't have otherwise (Technically, I'd probably only get Taiko no Tatsujin and LSD Dream Emulator), 1 manga volume, and maybe 2 episodes of Xena (once they get on the PSN). I'd like to stay at least mostly legit on this one, actually. :\

No can do, well back when I was in the psp scene they found a way to get hacked psp's running the psn store...but online play is unknown.

What's the largest mem stick I can get by the way?

I heard 32gb, but that's if you can afford it...16gb is closer to being affordable, but I use an 8gb...cost me $108 aud.

OFFICIAL SONY is advised, 3rd party or sony fakes have slower speeds (dont go to ebay unless you find the topics about how to sell if legit sellers btq ;) )

I'mma make an addition to that post.

If you want a lot more than game saves, at least 4gb is recommended.

But does it have magic gate enabled?

If not you got a dud.

(And no just because the stick casing says it doesnt mean it has-to check is go to the psp xmb menu>the memory stick in any option ie games or movies>triangle>should be an option to check, unknown or none=dud)

I'll get a 32gb stick if I can find one. But most probably I'll get an 8gb stick. Need more memory for upcoming games.

I am a proud owner of a PSP with a 32GB memory stick, and a 2200 mAh battery.

Want to know how I was able to afford all of that? By getting a JOB!

That battery, is that the official type?

Cause the last few I seen of that size were 3rd party...and they all were dead when bought...so I stuck with my official batteries.

    And yes, jobs help :)

Yes, it is the official Sony battery, not some third-party bullshit. If you looked hard enough online, you can find one easily.

Could never find one...oh well that's what happens when you restrict your ebay searching to just Australia only so if anything happens you can get up close and personal to dodgy sellers....

My memory kicked in, it's the gold coloured looking thing is it not?

What if buying online isn't an option because you don't have a credit card, a savings account, or a paypal?

    ...then all is lost...

Surly you must have a bank account at your age, at least (for future transactions)?
