so how fast does your computer, take to turn on?
mine takes 15 sec

this is the one i use for going online.....

My desktop, around 2 minutes. My netbook, around 10 seconds if that.
It is running Tiny XP Beast Edition and it is AMAZINGLY fast!!!

On my desktop, I use WinLite (my own make) and it is slower, but it has less components stripped out of it than Beast. I only use my netbook for school and not much else.

 

Both desktops, about a minute and a half. My netbook, about 3 minutes.

 

Wait WHat??? You have 760mb of RAM and it takes 15 seconds to open up? I have 3gigs of RAM and my laptop takes around 20 seconds or a little more to start up.

Over a minute. And thats if I choose which OS to load straight away, if I let it do it itself another 30 seconds.
XP or & ultimate both take the same and I have 4GB of RAM, AMD Phenom 9550 quadcore 2.2GHz.

as fast as you can turn the screen on ( basically instant )

 

MohsinMVP: yep thats how fast it turns on....
the reason most pc's are slow ais because you have to many programs, personal stuff, movies, music, etc on your desktop....
cleaning that up, not organizing it makes your pc run faster.......
i would highly recommend an external hdd (Western Digital)

or the reason might be you have vista....vista takes a while longer even without the stuffs...

 

5 to 7 minuites then it takes another 5 minutes for me to be able to access anything without having it to crash or to load anything very slowly when loading is slow it take 10 mins to load anything.
My computer is slow.

Yep it's very slow. I think it's window xp. Not really sure i'll go check

 

45 seconds tops. But if you're going to add the fact that my UPS needs to be turned on & has to be ON for 15 seconds before I turn on the monitor & speakers, then the PC itself, all in all I need 1 minute before Dave greets me.
