    We all have internet!.

well i know i do, but I'm considering to my dad (mostly subjective to forcing)
    of changing internet providers.
now since this isn't my field of profession at all.

    can somebody help me? ^^

    Unlimited Downloads
    8Mb + Download speed.
    round about 20-25£ a month?

    is it possible?
    anyone help?

    on another note.
my mum took some "this is goner help me get on a plane pills"
and now she cant work. i shouldn't be laughing.

Edit: I download a hell of a lot. i don't really know what on.

i use talktalk which is 8mb and 20-25 pound and that includes unlimited free calls to all UK landline numbers only thing is it not unlimited downloads it 40gb but your hard pushed to do that every month and its not a limit it a fare use recommendation.

first thing, is your current internet cable or ADSL (Virgin is most likely cable)

If it is cable you are pretty much stuck.

if it is ADSL then go to http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php and enter your post code or phone nuimber to find out who is available in your exchange.

I recommend the following if you can get them:

O2, Be or Nildram (a bit outside your price range, but a good ISP. If samknows says you can get Tiscali, then you can get Nildram.)

Talktalk have a good deal, but they have far too many customers so that can mean difficulty connecting at times.

Stay well clear of Orange, BT, AOL and Sky. Also avoid BT subsidiaries such as Yahoo!, Plusnet, Madsafish etc.

    Why Sky? They're pretty fast

very poor customer service, and they aren't actually as fast as they claim. (They've been done for misleading ads several times) Same goes for virgin.

never use any router given to you by the suplier, they suck ass and half the time you have to have programmes on your pc to coonnect.
    buy a router

Not really, those are usually drivers and such that you don't need, unless you want to have it connected via USB.

  11. I'm in a similar boat....kinda...I have dial-up as some of you know...and I might be getting sympatico (bell) and I don't have much to spend, under $30-40 a month for internet, I'd probably need unlimited bandwidth, and is there a way to check how much bandwidth you've used for each month?
as for speed, as long as its at least say...100 kb/s?
    Does it exist?
Note - I'm choosing sympatico because my phone provider (or whatever its called) is bell so there might be a package :)

You usually check the datacap on the official site, logged in.
