Put the emulator and SNES roms on your R4 Micro SD card, then run the emulator and choose which game you want to play. The SNES emulators for DS aren't that great, but I'm not sure which is the best as I don't use them. Which did you download?
It sounds like you used the emulator for the computer. You can't do that. You need a special port to the DS to run SNES games on the R4. Try SNEmulDS - http://www.snemul.com/ds/ Download it, unzip it, and then put the .nds file onto your flash cart. Run the emulator and choose your SNES rom you want to run.
You have to go to the folder where you put the SNES roms at. If that's not the case, then try googling it. That's the only thing I can tell you.
1. Download SNEmulDS 2. Put SNEmulDS.nds on the root of the MicroSD card 3. Make a folder named "Snes" 4. Download SNES ROMs(Search Google) 5. Put the SNES ROM in the "Snes" folder. They should have smc at the end(I.E. Mega Man X.smc) 6. Load up SNEmulDS.nds 7 Select a ROM Some ROMs won't work. Here are some that I have which have some minor glitches: Mega Man X.smc Super Mario All-Stars.smc Super Metroid.smc Zelda - A Link to the Past.smc ^That's how they appear on my Snes folder. Also, the version I have is SNEmulDS 0.6.
Hey anyone know of a SNES emu for DS that'll run Seiken Densetsu 3 with no problems? I mean, it's just like Secret of Mana in every way, so I don't know why SNEmulDS, SnezziDS, and SNESDS don't run it.
Does the SNES emulator work on the AceKard 2i? Or do you need a different emulator? I'm just wondering, as I'm waiting for it to come in the mail.
Doesn't seem to be playable on the DS SNES emulators. Sorry. While researching some possiblities, I see you already asked and were given the same answer in other locations too Yes, it will run on the Acekard 2i.
Isn't there a way to use the save states from the SNEmulDS on another emu for the PC? I really don't wanna get to the details on it but lets just say because the emu isn't perfect... I can't finish a rom hack I'm playing. I'll let you guys guess which one :-D
Considering there are dozens of rom hacks for nearly every SNES game available, I'll leave the guessing to other people. You may have to convert the save assuming it ends up in the folder and is in a different format. You'll just have to compare the save format to the save format of a save on the computer emulator you plan on using. I personally strongly dislike the slot 1 SNES emulators, as they are awful. They don't play any of the games I would like to play without tons of errors and issues (FF6, Secret of Mana, etc.). If I want to play SNES, I'll just use the emulator I have for my PC.
Look out. Most of the SNES roms are damaged. I don't know why, but it is Try playing NES roms (much better) I use SnesDS
