For those of you who ever played Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest & Earthbound, have you ever thought how cool it would be if there was a game that borrowed elements from those three game franchises? Well dream no more cause here comes Hourai Gakuen no Bouken or Translated to English roughly as "The Adventures of Hourai High Transfer Student!" As I stated, the game borrows several elements from the three aforementioned game franchises. In Hourai High, you take on an eager transfer Student (whose gender you can even pick ala Dragon Quest.... nope sorry Pokemon was not the first RPG to employ the ability to choose your avatar's gender folks) who gets thrown out of the plane he was riding to get to Hourai High, an extremely large School that is situated on an island south of Japan. Unfortunately this school is no School for the uber intelligent students or a concentration camp for the most rowdy students.... no it's something much more & as you take on your avatar you'll find out that School is more than just about studying & surviving.... You can get the fan translation here on RHDN: http://www.romhacking.net/trans/1607/ Or at AGTP's site here: http://agtp.romhack.net/ And the raw Japanese ROM here on RomUlation of course: https://www.romulation.org/downloads/search/hourai/
Click on the blue 1.00 under Patch Version, orrrr.. http://www.romhacking.net/translations/snes/patches/[1607]hourai.zip That's the direct link from the 1.00 button. The Read Me works the same way.
Here's a video on youtube showcasing the game as it is patched with the fan translation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t812UW4cds8 It shows the battle system, wandering about & the in game "Club" (job class) system feature.
