skins help for the R4Ds

i have an r4 and i downloaded the threme i wanted to use but im not sure how i read a few topics and tried them.
some where
replace the themes in the theme folders but i didnt have any so i created it and named it Themes and made theme01 but im still having trouble..

any help would be grateful..

 

for the pics to be seen as viable images by the firmware they have to be a certain size...i cant remember the exxact size but its pretty small, like 120 x 92 or something silly like that

make sure that the theme is in the right folder...usually i think the themes folder is in the systems directory or something like that

the last thing is that you have to make sure that the pics are names accordingly, for example in the theme01 folder there should be 4 files...bckgrd1.jpg, bckgrd2.jpg, logo.jpg and a .ini file that tells the firmware what kind of font to use and so on. make sure these for files are there

otherwise thats all the help i can give if your card isnt loading the themes

 

you just put it in the _system folder :|

the resolution has to be 256x192

and the pics have to be 24bit bmps

they have to have a specific filename

i.e. (icons.bmp, bckgrd_1.bmp, bckgrd_2.bmp) or something close to that

 

The filenames are:

* logo.bmp - Background of the Top Screen of startup.
* icons.bmp -- Background of the Bottom Screen of Startup.
* bckgrd_1.bmp -- Background of the Top Screen of Explorer.
* bckgrd_2.bmp -- Background of the Bottom Screen of Explorer.
* theme.ini

The exact sizes for the images must by 256x192 px, the same size as a DS screen. Put it in the _system_ folder if you want only one theme. This is my How To Add Themes/Skins to R4 tutorial. https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php/topic,7694.0.html

 

sorry i havnt replyed been at work the past two days and yeah they are the right size and stuff and right names i got it from the nds themesi made the folder "Themes" and put a folder in named "theme01" and placed the rar file in first then when it didnt work i unzipped them and replaced them in and nothing happen <.< i know im hopeless lol

i have tried all that, i will try downloading another one and get the right size and names
if it doesn't work i will post again

 

If it doesn't, reinstall your firmware.
