Look at this report! Because of the links to other rom sites your website is not safe Seph! http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/romulation.net ..... Please remove the link to that site and meaby then you will get a green status!
There was another two threads like this yesterday. It's safe. Someone said it was probably triggered by an ad. But seeing that, it's probably just McAffee being a bitch.
I wouldn't call a flashy pop up trying to trick you into clicking it an "attack" so much as an annoying, very annoying, ad that I'm sure Seph took care of
Poor doperoms. Any publicity is good publicity for a website. They're actually a pretty good site, they're my source for Sega CD ISOs.
It's still showing up as a" red status" on my pc. Anyway to fix it? Although everything is working great. HoustonTX224
I hate McAfee I was almost permanently IP Banned (or was it just IP Blocked, I'm not sure which is more correct of the two) on RHDN because kingofgamesmasters777 (a former regular RomUlation forumer) once posted a thread here on RomUlation saying that RHDN was virus infested, thanks to McAfee's stupid site advisor feature What happened was I e-mailed RHDN's admins saying that their site had a patch file laced with a virus. The next thing I know, I was IP Blocked from going to RHDN for a week Then RHDN's admins e-mailed me again asking me how I learned of the false alarm & when I told them it was McAfee's site advisor's fault they sent me a reply saying I needed to change my crappy AV (McAfee) & use another "better" alternative like AVG or NOD32. Along with that e-mail was a notice stating that they have lifted my IP Ban & can once again go there to download stuff. So McAfee can just suck my balls <- Err... sorry for the rude remark.
Well..Who would have known? The site (RomU) is coming up green (safe) again. Then , I always knew RomU was safe and great. Keep up the great work. HoustonTX224...and you KNOW this maaaaaaan!!! (In my BEST Chris Tucker voice)
Wow. I sent in a complaint about the report just a few days ago. I always appreciate when people work fast.
McAfee is the anti-virus that the schools PCs use, is it useful? A virus killed a few PCs in the library then got fixed with Symatec Ghost. Then just recently, McAfee detected a Trojan of some sort from c.exe which was in the Internet Explorer folder, it's a virus alright.
mcafee is better than norton, but its still far from good (go figure, its owned by the same company as norton). it's notorious for false positives.
