hey just dl'ed sim city ds today. it doesn't seem to want to run for me, i'm using a r4 just wondering if ne1 knows about why this game might not work or if ne1 else is having this problem. thanks
A new firmware was just released for R4, it will make it compatible with R4. And apoc, no need for the angry smilie, that will get you nothing but trouble.

its not the smiley itself, but the fact it changes the tone of what you are saying. Smileys are there to replace facial expressions, which are not present on forums.
Yeah, an angry smilie makes us think that you are angry that it doesn't work and as though it's our fault. (since you're writing to us) Obviously that's an injustice we won't put up with since we put a lot of hard work into this site.
im trying to run it on an m3 simply and its not working, do i need to download any firmware for this card and if so any1 know where i could get it, thanks for any help
Yes you will need to update your firmware, no card was compatible with Sim City DS at the time of it's release.
Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can help...I use a DS-X 2Gb card, but sadly neither SimCity DS nor Zelda Phantom Hourglass works. The former says it can't delete the save file, please remove and re-insert card, whilst the latter brings up a screen with red writing after the intro video sequence. This is very frustrating, especially SimCity, since the Japanese edition worked without any issues. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you
Both games use 2MB flash save files, DS-Xtreme does not support such save types at this time. You will need to either buy a different flash cart or wait for an update.
Okay, thanks for the information. I'll leave a message about that on the DS-X forums then to see if they can resolve the problem since buying a new card simply for playing these two games alone is clearly not an ideal situation. Seems strange that the Japanese version of SimCity DS worked okay, but it's now changed for the US/Euro releases.
