I know this is quite random but, In Kingdom hearts 358/2 days, you have to get hearts by killing Heartless..... That's ill-logical and dumb!
As the old saying goes, "you can't get blood from a stone." Someone explain how we get hearts from something without hearts please! ???

most of this is a guess but you should really play the rest of the series first. But it goes like this: a heartless is created when the darkness adn greed or whatever (7 deadly sins?) overtakes their heart they turn to a heartless. But someone started synthesizing hearts and I guess to do so they needed to start from a heart. The heart gets trapped. Those are emblem heartless but the purebloods don't give you any hearts because they are natural and something happens to the heart. There are quite a few plotholes in the series.

Not so much plot holes as using terms to describe something that it isn't.

Like the Nobody. A nobody is pretty much what is left over after the heartless is made. So you have a "Heartless" and a "No Body" But the Nobodies have Bodies, and no hearts, and the Heartless are corrupted hearts. In KH2 they wanted to turn strong people into Heartless so that their Nobodies could join the ranks of Organization XIII, I think they were after Beast in particular.

Don't get too caught up on the literal definitions of the words and names used to describe them.

But then why do only emblem heartless give hearts and not pureblood?

Just a game mechanic to make there be "trash mobs" during missions that just give you points rather than progressing the mission.

It's briefly explained, but there is no need to get attached to literal English definitions of words when the game was developed in Japanese :)
