Anyone else got it? Just finished it, and it was one heck of a game, one of the best horror games I've ever played for sure, even if it was not scary at all. No, the game excelled in atmosphere and at making you uncomfortable with it, especially the later sections with Kaufmann. Not to mention that the game was also techinically impressive; I've played the PSP and PS2 versions and was quite impressed with both its graphics and sound design. The soundtrack by Yamaoka was also excellent, if a bit stale at this point. Seriously, I cannot recommend this game enough.
I played it for about an hour. I found the graphics to very excellent, even for the psp! I found it to be a very interesting horror game. The echoes and lighting made it pretty realistic and that is the kind of horror that gets me!! ;D i actually had to stop playing it for a while... Overall, from what i played of it, it was a very good game for the PSP.
i finished the Wii version and i can tell that you. that this game was one of the best silent hill i ever played period.
I just downloaded it last week but havent gotten around to playing it yet. Still on my first 10 minutes or a quick play I can see that this game will be very promising. The therapy session is interesting and I heard you even get to colour stuff!
a great game, very interesting mechanics and it delivers on the psp a great game also great music by Akira
Close to finishing the game, I think both this and the original silent hill have their pros and cons. This being that it has an interesting story line, I love the fact that your choices affects the game and the new run for your damn life system does offer more fright than the original shoot anything that moves(though it can be frustrating at times when you are lost and those monsters seem to run faster than you) Still thisgame does not have any unlockables which is dissapointing. I this that in future SH games, they should implement features from both old and new. That would be good. Also I thinks its an interesting approach of how the SH world switch to the other world in thise game rather than stuff turning into flaky bits, the world freezes in to a frozen hell
..Hmm... Is this related to any SH stories? Even playing the 4th one is very confusing to me. Oh, I welcome any spoilers. XD
Well this is supposed to be a remake of the first, though the base story where a father is searching for his daughter in the town remains intact, the rest is completely different
wait... what? IIRC the only Shoot anything that move is Silent Hill Homecoming.... all the Silent Hill before that was more about runing then shooting.....
the game has some unlockables well i guess they are collectables for ppl like me lol im a perfectionist and well yeah collecting the momentos and echo pics and messages they add a nice touch to it
When i played the first silent hill, I had too much ammo at the end of the game that made me say "What the hell, I saved up my ammo for THIS?" The creatures were easy enough to kill even with melee attacks that I pretty much whacked anything in sight. I think that they should balance between killing monsters at time and then not being able to kill monsters and having to run. Perhaps something like you cant kill monsters in the Other world but you can kill monsters in the real world
Better than Silent Hill: Origins? I liked the game. You can have the chills when playing at night. And be surprised of the faceless beings sneaked around you.
