Sick of error code 4. Any advice please?

I recently purchased 2 R4i revolution for DS cards V1.41 (green) for my kids. All was well but I've downloaded about 5/6 games and they all come up with the error code 4 which I believe is anti-piracy. I have updated the latest firmware from the site but makes no difference.

Is there a quick fix for this? I've been reading a bit and some people recommend downloading a new YSmenu don't know if this would be the right thing to do.

If there isn't a quick fix, can anyone recommend a good flashcard? I have had R4, R4 SDHC, R4 Ultra and DSTT and this green one is my latest. I prefer the DSTT but they don't seem to update as fast as R4. I have a DS lite and a DSi but would prefer the same card for both as it's a nightmare if one child's got a game that works and one hasn't.

Errcode=-4 is not having the latest extinfo.dat / infolib.dat replaced into the TTMenu folder

It's kined of AP but not quite AP.

How ever for thease updates i would recommend R4 original revolution are DSTT original card, as clone cards have issues.

The YSMenu basicly over-ride the files extinfo.dat / infolib.dat / savlib.dat into the TTMenu folder on your micro SD chip

Maybe I'm doing it all wrong then when I unzip my original kernel I have system, skin, plugins, NDSMAIL, moonshl2, dsxreader, data and a TTMENU.SYS. I am trying to replace these 3 things in system where there is only an extinfo to replace the other 2 aren't there. Sorry if I'm being a total pain!!

I thought you also had an DSTT are R4 original ?

Thease card i sed to try with, DSTT dose have a TTMenu folder and also YSMenu has a TTMenu folder.

 

Just tried it all on an old DSTT card and just got the dreaded white screen. I give up now but thanks a lot for your help.

Any thoughts on the best flashcard to buy?

Alright, I KNOW that I'm necro-ing this thread, but I've been trying to get Devil Survivor 2 (J) to work for the past hour and a half and have failed so far. I've been getting the "load rom failed errcode=-4" every single time I've attempted to load patched or unpatched versions of the game. I noticed that the game is on the list posted above.

Just for reference, I'm using a DSTT with 1.18 kernel.

However, after replacing my infolib.dat, extinfo.dat, and savlib.dat files with the ones provided here, I seem to have made some progress. Instead of the loading bar reaching about 1/5 of the loading bar and then producing an error code 4, it now reaches about 3/4 of the way of the loading bar, and then gets stuck and continues to "load" forever.

Do you have any idea of how I could get this game to work? I've been diligently attempting to get this game to work, and I'd rather not give up when I've come so close.

 

extinfo.dat exceeded it's limit size of 900 titiles - To fix you will need the new ttpatch.dat and TTMENU.dat to prevent the freeze loading issue

I assumed it would, Was the NDS Games folder correct to it's path auto directed it to it ?

 

I didn't place any games in the folder yet, but I'll do that soon and let you know if it works or not.

EDIT: Placed Devil Survivor 2 in the NDS Games folder, and it appears on the menu normally and it functions correctly. So we can confirm that the NDS Games folder works as well.
