i think anyone should be allowed to use facebook as long as they are sensible with it and they dont waste their entire life on it.

No, the point of keeping them out is to protect them, after some of the crap i seen/went thru I think it's wise to keep kids out...

Random ads wanting to meet could be fatal/weird for some people.

One of my friends didn't even post a real picture, but one of a drawn penguin, and people 'claiming' to be about 14 added him.

I think all under 15's should not have access to any form of technology.

The stupid ones are the ones that go on the Internet to find younger friends. The smart ones just languish as they try to keep their lives in order and be productive members of a society that would burn them at the stake. Lol at clinging to the ideals of those who only wish to murder you... But that's beside the point.

    Age doesn't determine responsibility.

    I don't think so.

As stated above, pedos stalk younger girls/boys. And to me that is just disgusting.

My brother (14) doesn't have one and has no use for it.
My other siblings don't have one either, but they're younger too.

Being the oldest has given me an early start in parenting. :p

Block function. And as stated above, the ones that actively stalk people are stupid, and therefore are not very likely to track down you in real life. Also, what about the guys who stalk older women and whatnot? Should older women not be allowed on social networking sites too?

Children under 13 are not mature enough to handle the Internet. ::)

    Also, pedophiles.

The first thing i thought about when i saw this topic title was last night's episode of South Park.

Also, i assumed Facebook was suppose to be for college people.

Advice: If you do have facebook, don't tell your age or post a pic of yourself. (No, don't post Bob the Builder)

Advice: there are no paedophiles on Yahoo! Messenger. You know why? Because everyone knows it sucks, that's why.++++

There are always creeps in the world. But as long as you nail it into your kids' brains that no, they shouldn't post pictures of their 'giney on the Internet and crap, they should be fine.

At 13, not all would be able to protect themselves online...for example.

Nhi_po, I mistaken for a 16yr because of her conduct online, yet my brother of same age (13) is as dumb as hell despite ME educating him...in the end I just made him give up the internet...by force.

I kept saying he ate our bandwidth ::)

its not just facebook thats bad, its the internet in general.
saying that, its ok for a 13 year old if their monitored by their parents or are responsible enough themselves.
theres a couple of young people on here that are imo intelligent and responsible enough.

If they went on facebook, monitored and only added family/trusted friends with NO random adds, it may be ok....but with the amount of cussing from people that once taught me in school...I think it's not so safe for kiddies :p

i think anyone over 12 should be able to go on facebook aslong as they know not to talk to people they do not know.
