Should I watch Higurashi or Elfen Lied?

    I'm in the mood for a bit of gore, and saying as I've already seen all the episodes of Hellsing Ultimate to date, these two anime seem to be the next best thing.

    People... your opinions please.

    Higurashi's not so much gory as just a general mind screw. It does have its moments, though.

    You should watch Higurashi first then Elfen second or...
    You should watch Elfen first then Higurashi second or...
    You should watch Higurashi and not watch Elfen or...
    You should watch Elfen and not watch Higurashi or...
    You should watch both anime series or...
    You should not watch both anime series or...

    I'm sure - Higurashi no naku koro ni - you made your decision - Higurashi - after six days.

    If you're all for the gore than Elfen Lied is your game.

    Either way dip your toes in both pools. They're both good series.
