Should I update to 6.20 OFW?

The only reason I'm asking this question is because I REALLY wanna play Birth By Sleep. I'm on a 3000 and pandora is not an option.

Or is there a way to play it on CFW without waiting for a new one?

They apparently found an expoit...but they won't release...or do anything until sony makes another firmware.

So it's a bit of a gamble at this point, normally I'd say do it...

And you do know to use birth by sleep you must have the real game on you, iso's won't work.

I'm only assuming it's an iso since no info is given, heck you didn't mention this was for a psp but I'll forgive you :)

    1. Buy a better PSP
    2. Buy KH:BBS when it comes out in English to support the developers
    3. ?? ??
    4. Profit.

The 3000 isn't a bad system, it just means to hack it you need certain firmwares...

Once they release the cfw for 6.20, we'd be set!

And another psp isn't cheap...never suggest another one unless the current one was busted...why waste perfectly good cash.

Like I said, they are working on a exploit for 6.20, we are just mearly waiting...

If you have the patients, it's cheaper to run the annoying 300, just never turn it off, always in standby, simple as that.

And trading a 3000 for a 1000 here in australia (for example) is

    -Hard to find

-Even if you do, it'll be in crap condition

-You won't profit more than maybe...10-20 bucks if you try the big retailers.

    And psp scene?

    WTF are you on about?

There is the GEN firmware series that so far has done well, homebrew apps still going...unless you worded it wrong you stuffed up!

Read the news buddy, I may not play much but I still keep an eye on things...

Eventually they will ether make it easier for 3000's to run cfw, or make it permanent (they have the sedna plug-in, which still needs work...but it's worth a shot).

The only thing I agree on is supporting the developers, hence why i buy games...self dump...then return because eb games shoves them back as pre-owned and not loss of cash...thus loss for eb instead.

Sorry, I had the UMD and I updated. I thought about all the the pros and cons of OFW and CFW, and decided to go with OFW. I'd feel that the $65 I bought the game for was just a waste if I didn't get to play it. I also have access to the PSN now.

Oh and I would've bought a 2000 instead, it's just that it's hard to find one in great condition. And why wait for the US one? Heck, I'll just get both. Get the JP one, then save up until the US one releases.

There are plugins that can allow you to use psn acess (gaming online only-no store access).

And I swapped the shell of mine to a complete custom one because of the condition of what mine was in :p

Never update till an Xpl0it is released. Especially if you are FW 5.03 or below, and on a PSP3000.

    I'd buy a second-hand PSP1000.

The user may have been on 5.51.

There was an exploit for 5.50, it's not much but better than nothing.

...as for the matter of the psp, unless you got REALLY nice parents/got more money than sence (like me buying the gran turismo psp-which means it's on 5.51 already) then it's not for everyone.

I wasn't on 5.03+ yet. Remember, I said that I thought about the ups and downs of OFW to CFW. I did use CFW on my 3000 for while. But rehacking it was getting to be a drag. I also wouldn't have updated if the UMD worked with gen-c or something. Guess my only other way is to wait for an exploit or buy a Datel battery.

    Um...

The datel battery was a fake, it doesn't work and is remoured to brick psp's.

Best bet is to wait for the 6.20 exploit.
