Should I get a new flashcard or is there a way to update it?

    I have a microsd usb 2.0

I don't exactly know how to tell what version the R4 is but on the card it says

    R4
    Upgrade
    Revolution for Ds
    (NDSL/NDS)

Your firmware may be able to be updated, if you can find out what firmware you are currently on (look for a number somewhere on your main menu of the card).

There are a couple R4 Upgrade cards. Check the cards on http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ and see if any of them are the one you have.

I don't understand very well your post but...

R4 is always the worst flash card of all (lots of incompatibilities, bad firmware, needs lots of patches, etc, etc, etc)
I recommend you to buy an Acekard 2i, but if you want to save money... well yes there are ways to "update" your firmware.

i doubt you can find a r4 "super updated" most of times you need to update it by yourself

You find the update version of the r4 by going to its website or gbatemp.net.

...Maybe i get confused of what he said... sorry.
There's always ways to update your firmware, in that way you will be able to play "more" games with your r4
