Should I get a DS Lite or DSi?

I will mainly be using ROMs for my game playing.

I don't really care about the DSi's cameras or anything.

What just seems to work better for flash carts and ROMs and such?

Dsi needs dsi compatible cards-but those said cards work on all ds types.

If you want gba emulation though you need a dslite.

    Also-get an acekard2.i-awsome card :)

NDSLite for GBA emulation and the all powerful CycloDS flash cart.
NDSi for camera, music, download-able games, internet browser that FREE, and the amazing AceKard 2i. But needs R4i, DSTTi, and other DSi compatible cards with a hacked loader.
I dont reccomend getting the R4 cause there are WAY too many clones and its outdated. Get the Edge, iTouch DS, DSTT, SuperCard DS ONE for the DSlite, and R4i RTS/SDHC/III,DSTTi, AceKard 2i, iTouch DS Enhanced. The r4i also has many clones.

Buy a DS Lite and an AK 2i. This way you get the best of both worlds! DS Lite: awesome battery life and GBA compatibility and AK 2i: highest compatibility for all NDS games and works flawlessly with EZ 3in1 GBA expansion cart. Plus, if you decide that you want a DSi, you will not have to upgrade your flash cart!

The speaker quality on the DSi is good though, pretty much a cheap iPod Touch that plays cartridges and bad downloadable games with two crappy cameras and a photoshop... I agree with the person that says get an AK2i and a DS lite because you may just be crazy enough to get one, I got mine at gamestop for 2$ because my other dses broke and I need my old one for wireless communication. I had a lot of old games I could turn in :). The R4i is also cheap because of the clones. Did you try wrapping masking tape around it? it sometimes doesn't detect it because of the gold things not touching the dses gold things properly...

AceKard2.I is a very good one, probally one of the only reasons I would get it, but the DSL somehow makes me play better, don't know how, but yea... Whatever. -_-
