I was thinking about buying the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 for DS. The problem is, that I'm new to KH series so I would like to know if it is better to know the story of previos KH games or if I can play this game and enjoy its story on its own. :-\ Thanks for reply.
Humm... in my opinion the story is barely enjoyable without the story knowledge of KH I and KH Chain of Memories. As for myself, I read the KH I's manga and palyed CoM on the GBA emulator. But the gameplay is very enjoyable. It's definitely worth a buy... (or download )
I dont buy to support but if you liked the game you should. If you dont have a slot-1 card... Then go buy.
Chain of memories?? why would ANYONE WANT to play chain of memories? Maybe it's just me, but that was one of the worst gba games i tried 0.o Storywise you only really "need" to play KH2 beforehand, it'd be a good idea to play KH1 too though. And without the story the game would be pretty boring after a short while, the story's really where the series shines.
*major spoilers don't read unless you played the games or read about it* playing this alone will confuse you since the story is between kingdom hearts it is takeing place in chain of memories. ending with the story of riku's defeat by the hand of roxas and then beating roxas by the power of darkness in kingdom hearts 2. but i think is a good game...
If you want to perfectly complete the series, chronologically you should wait for birth by sleep, play that first, then play Kingdom hearts 1, then play COM or RE:COM, then play Kingdom hearts 2. Then sit tight and wait for Kingdom hearts 3 =D. At least thats what I plan to do once I get RE:COM and birth by sleep.
