depends. if the house has too many rooms i'll go with a saw-off shotgun. easier to handle in tight areas than sniper

but if there's like a big moat or... whatever, to keep a good distance from my target then snipe away!

Go back to playing Counter-Strike, you kids. :p

Honestly, do any of you actually know how to operate a gun?

Furthermore, have any of you even touched either weapon? :p

Sniper rifle versus shotgun? It's like comparing apples and oranges. Obviously, it depends on your objective. Of course, close combat requires a gun like a shotgun, and keeping people at a distance requires a sniper rifle.

I've used a shotgun. And a semi-automatic rifle (which is a bit different to a sniper rifle).

i've operated a simple bolt-action rifle, i think at some shooting gallery. it wasn't that big either

and i've seen my dad fire shotguns before. the kickback is huge and the noise is flipping loud

i'd use a semi automatic 50 cal. sniper to make sure i put some brains a few miles from the body ;D
And i've fired a shotgun, the kick back bruised my arm because i was holding it wrong :D
I've also fired the standard cadet l98
Also a few pistols, aren't sure what make but they are surprisingly my favourite so far - and if you're wondering how i managed to, i did go to cadets and a family member of mine has a nice large area of land. I'm not sure the pistols were legal though ;)
Anyway i'm going off topic - as i said i'd use a sniper

I'd say shotgun. There isn't really a place at my house that would be good for sniping. In all my favorite zombie/undead killing games shotgun kills them the most effectively.

I've used various rifles and shotguns over the years, but not a sniper, only used snipers in some of my games.
