I just caught a shiny pidove legit!! Was wondering if it was stronger than non-shining pokemon, as it could easily take down on of the dancer's pokemon in Castelia city when it was just lvl 16.
It all depends on if the nature is beneficial to its strong stats, and what IVs it has. It is unlikely that shiny pokemon have great IVs, but possible. We won't know until you post the IVs.
Wether a pokemon is shiny or not has nothing to do with their stats. That shinniness is purely estetics! ;v) In otherwords it's just for looks! ;v)
Yep, what Fennyariel said. They're rare because they only look different then what they're supposed to look. Nothing more. People like the rare ones because they are not common, that's just it. Maybe they like how it looks, too.
Shiny pokemon are no different. sorry. They are simply rare, so hang onto it, and someone might trade you something really good for it,
