Acekard 2i don't support 3DS firmware above v.4.3.0. and not run 3DS rom.

If your Acekard 2i already running the latest firmware from the cart maker doesn't work on your 3DS, for sure your 3DS is above v.4.3.0.

    How to find out?

And just in case you're wondering if you could downgrade your 3DS firmware, the answer is : No, not possible. Buy new cart that can run on latest 3DS firmware v.6.3.0 or higher.

Several, so long the cart's website listed "support v.6.3.0 or higher"; such as SuperCard DSTwo, R4i Gold, etc.
Just look around their official sites first before buying, also make sure if you buy from a store, ask them to install latest firmware before handing it to you, unless you have an older console to do the installation yourself (note : if your older console is DSi make sure it's below v.1.4.3 to successfully perform the installation).
