Setting up a wireless (WEP) network to use on my ds lite hosted via usb dongle?

    help please! never been so stuck when it comes to computers :(
    i bought http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Wireless-Usb-Adapter-54Mbps-Nintendo-Ds-Lite-/370501374877?pt=UK_Computing_Networking_SM&hash=item56439a539d#ht_2179wt_905 to set up a wireless network (WEP) for my ds lite mainly for use with pokemon games especially black for trading with friends.
    i want to use my router (WPA2) which wont work with the ds to send the wireless signal to my laptop and then somehow make my use WIFI dongle i just bought broadcast a WEP network so i can use the internet on my ds lite?
    is this possible? and how can i do it or something similar without spending any more money that will work? :)

    none that are worth the time and effort involved, with no certainty of it actually working.

    what would be the easiest/cheapest way of setting up a WEP network for my ds lite to use then? as my mother will not let me downgrade the security on our router from WPA2 to WEP as her main use for it is online banking and wants it secure obviously.

    WPA2 is not secure either. wifi should NEVER be used for online banking. With the advent of on GPU processing, WPA2 can be cracked in about half an hour. (compared to under 5 minutes for WEP, using only CPU processing).

    easiest method would be another router.
