sekaiju no meikyuu III: seikai no raihousha rom BSON...help?

    whenever I start the rom up, it reverts to a BSON (black screen of nothingness). I tried using the child's play patch but it doesn't seem to work (although the readme said not to use it on roms downloaded from the internet?). I'm running this on an R4 3.0 ver with a DS lite. Can anyone help? Maybe a pre-patched rom would work?

    Ignore the ReadMe, just patch it with the Child Patch and use the .nds.

    I tried that and it still blackscreens on me.
