Seems my life ends today.

    After setting up a contract with optus, for dsl, and home phone. My family has been using optus for 6 month, and every month we recieve the bill its over $200 when we signed up for a $100 contract.

    First bill, 2 days billed $100!; the kit arrived on the 28th, and we had to pay on the 4th... wait that's six days (damn it, I'm losing my mind as well. I've seem to be losing everything).

    Second bill, $170 billed, Apparently we were being billed for excess usage WHEN specifically on the flyer, they Specifically stated:

    *Unlimited calls to any home phone
    *Unlimited calls to any australian GSM Mobile
    *20 GB of Internet UNLIMITED
    *only $99 a MONTH!

    at the bottom they have the terms and conditions but they didn't state EXCESS USAGE!

    Bill 2 didn't arrive till month 3? LUCKILY!

    Bill 3, $217, Don't bother checking how much I've used...

    So they arrived near the end of the month when I have already used around 198**?
    So I call and tell them I was not aware of us being CHARGED for excess usage; they decide to lie and tell me we have to pay $101, I'm not def and he repeated 3 times then I asked him $101? and he said yes.

    Bill 4, decided my fate. $358; why that high? the guy lied! we had to pay $104 extra because we had to pay $205 not 101, $40 because I couldn't manage to use less than 200 mb for 3 assignments and the rest becasue of late payment; 98$ wasn't "paid".

    my mum decided to bail me out this time and paid $358 from her savings, oh thank you mummie :).

    so I decided to have a fresh start last month, and used up as least as I could.
    Reformated a few times, Updates, No one seems to believe me but my computer was a battlefield for experimental viruses and also no one believes me that AVG firewall was f'ed and disabled while it said it was enabled.

    so I reached 20105 and we supposedly had to pay $115 this month, and you know what? they send us a bill of $168 stating we paid LATE, when we paid 3 days later than the day given.

    Probably paid late for the FUCKING 2nd and 3rd.

    Dad refuses to pay, I don't blame him. Going to cancel service tomorow, pay $500; Cancel contract and my life ends then. (in islam, when you promise, you keep it or fast three days if you break it. Sin)

    He also promised he will never sign up for another internet contract EVER.

    So there goes my stable, Public life.

    My life in among... "Real life" society is crappy, The only girl I had a crush on (helped me in year 7 and 8 from reaching unsanity when being bullied; Only person who would listen and talk to me) seems to be nothing more than a half slut (Coudln't confess feelings, boyfriend. Boyfriend dumps her because she talks to other boys. NOT ME, he didn't know; talked using msn. she gets another a week later? and is just.. SHE WASN't LIKE THIS, No I'm not jealous, Never been in my life. My goal is to destroy modern society... HAHA this helps me set this goal straight...) Very unfit, no reason to train, nothing to motivate me, No one to protect other than parents and sisters who seem to be living in AUSTRALIA a safe country.

    I meant to say I broke my promise, goodbye. But If I did you wouldn't forgive me, so I have written an essay, also sorry. It's just that I had so much assignments and the half yearlies coming up.

    Please don't critise my english, I just don't care, not in the mood to write properly.

    I would strongly suggest you contact a consumer rights group; it sounds very much like Optus are doing something they shouldn't.

    I agree,what they did just to get profit and that's not fair!

    I too agree that you should sue them for everything they stole from you, because that's complete and utter bullshit that they charged you that. They really are legally unable to do that, when my ISP (also provides my phone and TV) overcharged us, we got them to give us 12 months free top package TV as we threatened to change companies. For some reason, companies always seem to cave in quite quickly after threats of swapping companies...

    Also, that's just about how fickle School seems to be nowadays (in Year 10 at my school, I'm 14 3/4 for those Americans out there), and I've got a proper ass Maths (supposedly gifted at it...) modular exam tommorow that I SO have to revise for tonight. As well as some coursework that's got to be started and in so very very soon, so I know a lot of where you're standing now.

    Thanks, Internet being disconnected tomorow... I can't stop it, but I'll threaten to change companies and I'll program a virus over the years without internet life that will destroy there servers.

    I'll make them beg... for me to accept there offers. he.. he..

    Lol-I'm having problems with optus myself...

    20GB doesn't last as long as it should...


    Ok-this month-I let my mum had the whole net-no way just 1 freaking night would blow it right (all she does is check emails...)


    After about 800mb's later-it died to 6kbs!




    ...I suggest another company when you can switch-once my mum's contract is over I'm paying for iprimus 200gb-see if THAT runs out in a day!!!

    (cheaper deal too)


    (I did check the date-last month isn't that bad for being late-least it's not a year old...)
