Just curious, about how long does it take for a screenshot to be approved and how many points do you get for each screenshot that gets approved?
can take anything up to 24 hours to get approved (sometimes longer but rarely) and you get 5 points per approved screenshot
It really doesn't take that long to click the screenshot button on your emulator and upload it to the site, 5 points for 30 seconds work fair, and if you do 4 screenshots it should take you a minute max.
Can we take a picture of a nintendo DS using a digital camera and then crop it so that only the 2 screens are showing? Also what size (in pixel resolution) do these pictures have to be in for the upload or will the tool auto adjust a big or small picture resolution?
Someone asked this before and it was decided that taking pictures of a DS would not feasibly achieve a good enough quality. As for resolutions, they are listed on the upload screenshots page.
The only way I know to get a screenshot off the real NDS is via a Jumbotron, and, while neat, it costs money. =/ Sadly the only way right now is to either find them online (without a watermark of course) or by playing it on an emulator.
It's best to take them on an emulator, you can just download a NDS title (which doesn't cost any points) take a few screenshots, and repeat.
True. Then,why not have a higher limit on the number of screenshots per game(I think around 10, maybe?). That way more choice for viewers, and also better for people who want free points. Of course, if you went beyond a certain number of screenshots per game it would be ridiculous and open to all sorts of abuse.........but 4 still feels too low to me.Admittedly, I'm biased because I want free points........however, speaking as a casual downloader also, I enjoy browsing a large variety of screenshots before deciding on a game. Anyway, it was just a suggestion . Note: I'm sorry if this is the wrong subsection (site suggestions might have been better? :S), but since there was an already existing thread, I thought it would be better to post here than create a new one.
We'll probably double the amount of points per screenshots to entire more users to submit them, mostly it's just me adding screenshots.
Well what i do is i check if anyone has uploaded an image, if 2+ images have been uploaded i leave the game, but i always find another one and i ALWAYS upload a picture. The 4 image limit is alright with me. Points don't bother me, i'm on here more for the 'test & review' side.
I uploaded quite a few screenshots for saturn games a while back and I don't see them uploaded. This was months ago. However, I received the points for them. I'm more worried about being able to contribute to the Saturn collection.
They should be there unless they got deleted after having been approved, in case we missed a watermark or something.
