Edit: I've sense fixed the problem with the help of a massively epic Dell tech support. As soon as I figure out how to close topics, this one is closed.
It was purchased rather recently, but when it was purchased or from whom I don't know off the top of my head - it's definitely not even half a year old, so I'm wonder why my backlight already bit the dust, or why it decided to die after having set the brightness down. I mean, I can still see it, and in the complete dark, it still produces some light, but I don't know why exactly that is, or what exactly that has to do with anything. I'm mostly just pissed that something's happened already, when I've gone out of my way to make sure that nothing bad happens to this hunk of junk... ... but I'll get in contact with the person who bought it to see when she did, and to see if just how long the warranty is, because, as far as I know, they're usually three months unless extended, and she's definitely not the person to cover a "stupid" expense like that. ... I hate computers...
I hate it when people delete the topic post, because then when others have the same problem, they get no help. If this is the thing where the backlight flickers and buzzes then goes out, I have the same problem. Thanks for deleting the entire first post instead of leaving a record for others with similar problems. Sigh. Oh well, get your backlight inverter replaced.
