Well i recently finished a small project of mine, so i want to record some footage for it, the problem is that i dont find any programs via google that allow me to select an area of recording of my screen, for example a small rectangle in the center of my screen.I am seeking something similar to snapz pro but for windows.

you could use fraps (or any other screen capture program) and the manually crop the parts you want to keep using a video editing program

I'd need a specialized computer to do that, like a mac pro for video editing, anyway here is the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsTTAaDTK44 i recorded it with camstudio also fraps only allows for 30 seconds of recording if it's free

You don't need a mac for video editing, PCs are perfectly capable of it. The main issue with fraps is it only records direct3d sources, so if you're trying to record anything that doesn't use direct3d, it won't work.
