Hello there. I'm using an emulator, currently playing rune factory. Every time I save, The game says it's been svaed, but when I turn the emulator off and want to continue my game, there's no saved file, and I have to start all over again! can anyone tell me what to do to keep my saved game?

I do not believe saving is supported properly on emulators. Why not try an R4 or other device of the sort? You can get those online.

not all games save properly on emulators. Just because one works does not mean a different one works.

No DS emulator does good except No$gba which does a lil' bit work..and whole lot of games do not save while some other games do.It's much better buying R4 or much like other devices which run games on your DS with no problems.

that is, indeed, the best way of solving your problem... however, if you don't feel like spending money, you can play nds games rather well with no$gba 2.5c...

I think no$gba does no good except for some very........ very...... few games

it does a good work, you just have to take care of the emulator... like, if you shut down your computer while the emulator is running, the game that was running save file will be deleted, no matter if you saved it or not...

Sadly, where I live, the r4 things aren't sold anywhere :-[

But at least I understand the problem now. Thank you guys.

I think most of us got it from the internet.

i just bought a swap magic 3.6 for my ps2 in a console games store, too... but i'm not sure r4ds is sold in stores... for what i've heard, it's only good for playing back-ups, and if you don't have the original game, that's illegal...

Actually its illegal even if you own the actual game, and in America i know that they wont sell R4, Ect. in retail stores.

    Code:
no, it's not illegal if you have the original, back ups are like security copies... if your games goes *piff*, then you can download that game's version from the internet and play it as a back up... the same thing happens with emulation... as long as you have the original game, it's legal... and the original doesn't need to be working...

I don't know where you get that from, it is legal to MAKE a backup copy for personal use, it is ILLEGAL to download a so-called 'backup' copy, regardless of whether you own the original or not.

you're correct, it's illegal to download, but not to have the downloaded file in your microsd card..

If you cannot prove you made the backup yourself, then it is implied guilt. You don't have the facilities to make a backup therefore you clearly obtained it from a third party, which is illegal

    Code:
if you can prove you obtained it yourself, even if you downloaded it, then they cannot give a ''guilty'' verdict...
