Save file problem

The thing is, when I load a rom (say, FF4) it only shows new game even though the save file is there. No matter what I do I cant fix it (ie formating card,by renaming and stuff). It was working perfectly until recently, anyone got any idea whats going on? Oh, and i've got a dstt btw.

 

Okay, if you're using a DSTT, then I think I can help
Make sure the save file is " .sav " NOT " .SAV ", and make sure that the name is exactly the same (apart from the obvious file extensions)

 

Been there, done that. Anyone got any idea what the heck's going on?

 

Final Fantasy roms aren't really hmm... whats the word.. stable?
There are a lot of problems usually them, all you can do is start a new game or just abandon the game completely( I dont get why people like Final Fantasy, Its boring and complicated and what not)
