    Hi there. My name is Sam Beckett. I'm 36, so I'm not sure whether I'll be accepted too well here, but I do hope I am welcome here. I am a doctor of medicine, still training of course, I have been for about a year.

    I very recently found an interested in retro emulation since I found my old NES in the attic, and have found an interest in rom hacking too.

    Haha cool, i dont mind how you are, anyone can get into roms and emulations
    and its mad to find someone who likes rom hacking, im hacking old pokemon games and other games!

    We have gay people here, we have lesbian people, we have 13 year-olds, we have 54 year-olds, we have American, European and Asian people; and I could keep going really. The diversity is large and there are no prejudices here, should there be users who are prejudiced and express so then they'll find themselves unable to do so in the future. :)

    Since you're into ROM hacking, do you change graphics or do you know how to program additional features?

    I use hex editors to edit palettes and music, and if level editors are available for a game I am hacking, I change the layout.

    I like to tinker around with ROM hacking myself, although I have trouble sitting down long enough to really learn anything anymore :p

    But besides that, welcome to our slightly insane community, I'm sure you'll feel right at home here.
