Russia declares war Georgia

    8 august 2008, right at the start of the Olympic Games of Beijing.
    Russia start an invasion in Georgia.
    Could this be the start of WWIII?
    Russia has been bombing Georgia all day long.
    I hope the war ends soon...

    Georgia is calling for a ceasefire... sigh, I don't know why CNN is covering babies born on 08/08/08 when a fucking war just broke out. Anyways, Bush was an idiot for starting a war now that we have better ways of solving problems, this is another case of stupidity... Georgia shot down two Russian aircraft vehicles to start, but this is still irrational of Russia right now.

    Russia totally dominated Georgia on Red Alert 2 online.

    Georgia's problem is that they focused too much on Prism Towers and Prism Tanks, and never gave thought to building Patriot Missile turrets and Guardian GI troops. That's where they went wrong, and that's how they lost.

    meh I just saw this on the news,

    didn't it all start becuase russian started bombing freindly towns/villages in georgia, then georgia fought back and russia was pissed and here we are now.

    Russia is in way over there head even though they'll probaly win if this goes full scale

    No... allegedly Georgia shot down two Russian aircraft. Regardless, Georgia were trying to annexe a country that borders them and has had uneasy relations with Georgia for a long time. Russia had a good relationship with that country and overreacted.

    Either way it might be over soon, as Georgian troops have withdrawn.

    Wow, here in china you really don't get to see much of the world news. So there is a war going on?

    From the little news I found it was Georgia that started.

    it's over already, they've agreed a ceasefire, although Georgia is still being belligerent.
