running backups on your wii without modchip question

well i couldnt post it in that thread so ill post it here: do u need the actual game disk or do u start twilight princess from the card or something

 

you need the princess twilight disc

you need to play it untill you can save, save the game and exit

download and put the hack on you sd card then you need too.... hang on let me find a tutorial

So can I run backup game isos with this the twilight soft mod?

 

You only need twilight princess to install the homebrewchannel.
You dont have to play it before, just copy the hack in the savegame-manager to your wii and start the first slot in the game.

And yes, you can play burned ISOs from DVD-R discs after you follow the tutorial.

i was only repeating what every tutorial say and that is that you need to past over an old save.

by the way to those that want to do this the soft mod is very buggy and it is by far much easier to chip the damn thing especially as you can chip it for the same price as a copy of the game

 

positiv about softchip: its free! You dont need to buy the game, you can just take it from a friend or a video lybrary. (wasent a problem for me, because i bought twilight princess together with my Wii for a long time, when the exploid wasnt found)

And to make it clear: you dont have to play before! When you want to copy the hacked savegame to your Wii you have to deleate the excisting one before and cant directly replace it.Thats why its make no sence anyway.

I softchipped 5 Wiis until now (including my own) and there arent any bugs. Follow my tutorial on romulation and it works fine. The risk to brick your Wii isnt higher than with a modchip.

i patch all the games a play anyway but even if i accidentally forgot one day my chip blocks updates from different regions so my wii is always safe from blocking.

i know the soft mod works i just like the chip better (its my recommendation) and its what i decided to go with after all the reading i did with the problems lots of people had it just seemed allot simpler and easier to chip it but that's me (i like to open the shit up and have a look around). makes no difference i still put the homebrew channel on any way so as you can see i have already done this.

Yeah, youre right. Its easier to modchip a Wii if you have the money. But thats what I like: Making everything for free for what many others pay a lot. For example: I downloaded TI-Nspire CAS Teachers edition and a keygen just to laugh at my mathteacher, who says: "You cant crack this. If you want it, buy it!" I will never forget his stupid face when I demonstrate him the program on my notebook.

 

I'm still game for doing it but I still have to bur a Wii first.

One question though, does the game have to be the Wii Twilight Princess or can it be the Game cube version.

 

You need the Wii Version, because the hack is a savefile for the Wii-twilight-princess and wont work with the GC version. I can only recommend you to buy a Wii, its really fun to play on it.

you need to get a program and remove the updates

you just need to make sure that you don't update with a game from a different region or it by by to your wii
