Rune Factory 2: Glitch?

    I'm playing the game (ROM obviously) and am in the 2nd Gen. Anyway, in Blessia Island I can't seem to get past West Beach. What I mean is, whenever I try going to the next screen (North) the game just hangs. The screen goes black and the music continues playing (Can't even enter sleep mode oddly enough). Is there anyone else encountering this? Or if not, then does anyone have an idea on what I can do?

    PS: Just in case this might be the reason, I have NOT gathered all the tablets before that area... Is that a reason?

    Using cheats? Read the common issues in the Technical Help board?
