I was hoping to upload something for everyone, and it seems I had to re-download them...for good reason. It seems that "rudolph's gba back tool" programs have some sort of virus in them. It was a "vbs" virus according to avg full. Unlike the ds dumper's that he also created (and thus how gba/ds roms exist here at all) no viruses ar detected...is it safe to say it's like a key gen and the program is recognising the coding as a virus, or is it really a virus? I find it hard to believe that everysite that holds a copy has the same virus infection, despite the ds app not affected. And yes...I found this at gbaTEMP if your interested.
I scanned all of my files prior to uploading, al except for the one asking here is not. I just need an expert opinion...and my "master" is offline
Well, AVG have tendency to make that file a "virus", try scanning it using other antivirus software, such as Kaspersky, BitDefender.
I was told they conflict... I think that this happened before, back during my "training" years with roms... Same error with mum's norton... [me=hYpNoS]shudders[/me] That was years ago...I need someone with mass download experience/torrent experience. All the key gen's mistaken for viruses...get the idea XD Thanks for your input mega
What do you mean-Im still online LOL. It is most likely a false positive, picked up because of its behaviour....
[me=hYpNoS]lols[/me] Your my friend, not my 'master' XD But this is what I presumed...I'm just worried because IF this was a real virus it would spread the second it's on my micro sd... That is how the VBS virus works
Do you see any negative effects from it? I had some funny thing one day. My virus scanner told me a I downloaded file is a virus... But I found the download very trustworthy. I did the following: I created an empty file and renamed it to the name of the 'virus' file. It also labeled that empty file as virus. XD Well, if you really find it suspicious, then you should look if some strange programs are running.
