Has anyone ever used this before? I myself, am currently using this (The Legal English Version) and I must say, it's very impressive :D . I'm working on a game called "Blue Earth: Phantom", which revolves around a mysterious phantom whom attacks people, thinking it's justice. Well, I'm trying to avoid the concept of "Saving the world" and so far, how I'm planning the story and plot seems to be working.

So, anyone else working on an RPG Maker XP project?

Well, I did try a few times but I think I was simply too lazy to fini sh anything.
Also if you are a fan of the old final fantasy style(allies to the right, enemies to the left) I'd reccomend
the RPG Maker 2k3 though it's hard to find one nowadays.

Yeah, but you can also do that with RPG Maker XP, assuming you know Ruby Scripting. RGSS is a scripting feature which uses Ruby but designed mainly for RMXP. There's almost no limit to what you can do if you know how to script :D.

Got the registered version, wasn't worth it, Darkbasic and Playbasic are better for bginning coder, FPS Creator is better for people who don't like to code. I'm working on a game called "Mein Fuher", one of the only WWII RPGs around.

Oh. Well, I don't know much german. I only got the "Mein" from a site that translated all of the sayings in wolfenstien 3d. Oh, and I have t3dgm, but that sucks. One of the worse applications made with darkbasic.

^ Exactly why PC RPG Makers are a lot better. Almost no limitations :p .

I used it way back before the legal version existed.
I was always to lazy to get a full game out but I did get a few demo's out.
Also there's only been about 2 good games ever made on rpg maker...I sorta forgot there names tho but they were good.

^ For what RPG Maker? As far as I know, Romancing Walker and the Legion Saga series were a big hit on RM2K. But don't forget, they aren't made by professionals so it's understandable that they don't turn out as good as one might think. Besides, at least they're free to download.

Legend of philosopher stone 1 on rm2k3
I can't remember the other one right now tho...it looked a lot like earthbound and was for rm2k3

There's a few more good ones but those 2 were the best. I played legion saga was good but never played romancing walker.

Hm, never heard of Legend Of Philosopher Stone. I think another popular series was The Way, since it had pretty good graphics for an RM2K/3 game (At least the way I saw it). The Earthbound-like game you were talking about, I think it was an Earthbound fangame. If I remember correctly, the name was something like "Return Of Giygas".

I got the Legal Us Version after using a pirated copy for a long time. But yeah I'm on and off with it because I'm working on a all tileset fused dealy and i gotta fix all the tiles to where they lay right on the event map and what not ... so yeah its tedious .. and boring ...

The thing I really hate about tilesets is setting their properties. If you have a huge tileset, it's gonna take forever >_<.
