Why is the mascot a polar bear?

Can someone give me a link to that thread?

 

i think it has something to do with seph and doing sexual things to bears, or bears doing sexual things to him

 

that turns you on doesn't it...

 

The mascot should be changed to my avatar.

 

It was based on irc discussions (so most of the meaning is partially lost) and in the romUlation shop discussions.

 

Funny, the danish movie association also have a polar bear as a mascot

 

That would fall under copyright infringement.

 

It should be a (and bear with me here) a Floppy Disk, rotated 45 degrees so that its shaped like a diamond, with arms and legs and a face.

Kind of like the Famicom Disk System mascot, but only an actual Floppy Disk. We can call him...

FLOPPY.

or Rommy. Rommy sounds more appropriate. Floppy sounds like the name of a man in need of Viagra.

I still crack a grin when I see or hear about polar bears thinking back on that, my son was going to a report on one for school for a "mock-up" 5th grade news paper article, when he first told me what he was going to do I laughed out loud and he has yet to understand what my "problem" was. But I guess he took it there was something wrong so he decided at the last minute to his report on some lizard from the Canary Islands instead.

 

Not suitable for kids?

I'm surprised we don't have the Polar Bear as a logo on the top of the Romulation forum.

...if you read this Seph, why is that we have a mascot, but it's only featured just on the t-shirts.




Or is the main focus of the site the downloads and not a polar beat

maybe it should be on both the forum and the actual website
