Hi guys! I hope I posted this in the correct section - I just wanted to voice my concern over RomUlation being down over the last couple of days, none of the pages, including these forums worked. I was worried that something was seriously wrong with the site, like the company hosting you guys decided to skip out, or financial hassles set in, or the feds or some sh*t got to Seph etc. Glad to see that one of my favorite sites on the net is still alive and well. :-D If it's not too much to ask, why WAS the site down? Couldn't find any info on the main news page. Thanks!
Actually, it wasn't down... if you see for example our stats page: https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?action=stats you'll notice that we had member sign ups every day. (click on August to expand the month) With that said though, I have too had some problems loading the pages, for some reason it just flat out refuses to load them, so I have to use a proxy to use the site, that's something we're definitely going to look into as soon as opportunity affords us such luxury.
Well ok, I can see where you're coming from man (saw the member signups like you said), but both me and the rest of the people I know who frequent the site were all unable to view RU for two, three days. Not even logging in, just plain ol' connection timed out... while other, far more media-heavy sites like gametrailers and youtube worked like clockwork, and fast. Maybe it's because me and my pals are based in Asia? Anyway, just disregard my insane, delusional ramblings. Site's faster than ever, and I'm sure it's just some random isolated incident. You da man!
No it\'s a problem we\'re having with our new server, the datacenter it\'s hosted it has apparently had some problems, there\'s not much we can do about it besides switching to another host, I\'m suffering under it too. =/
Well, that would explain why there's a bunch of \ marks around your apostrophes. I have a proxy site that'll allow you to avoid that little problem if you want it
