Fellow members....if you noticed next to the ROMULATION COMMUNITY, there's a note: WTF! is going on? For several days I kept getting "SMF Server Error", surely everyone is experiencing the same issue. I know its not ROMU's fault, its the forum's server issue (SMF). But damn..... I lost over 20 posts made between 17th-19th. Every morning for the past 2-3 days, I can't login cause of various errors. All posts shown today are "STALE", as been answered since 17th March. No use responding to an already replied posts. Hope to see solution, at least Mods do try help SMF to find the backup of the data from the 18th. I'll be too lazy to repost my posts. Including the files I had shared. Its difficult to re-trace the links for files that I uploaded to IMGUR from 2 days ago. :'(
i noticed the message. i was just able to access romu again right now. this really sucks because i posted a few games and links and now i have to make the threads again and upload them too.. AGAIN oh well :-\
I also got this same message.... Before that, this forum was got SMF server error which similar to GBATemp Cheat forum since last year....
I'm like, 99% positive they aren't going to find a more recent backup. If it existed, at that point, they would have used it. It's simply a "just in case," precautionary measure. Might as well go about business as normal until otherwise. If you have any important links, back them up in a word document temporarily. It isn't as if you have to go to some extravagant effort.
Yes, that could be that. I doubt they will be able to locate the missing database. We'll have to re-up whatever files we posted prior to the SMF incident.
The backup exist, it's just on a server that won't even boot due to hardware failure. We already have a new server setup so now the question is do we pay to fix the old server to get a few days worth of posts and then keep the forum closed meanwhile, or do we just accept the loss.
I don't know. I have clear everything on my end (cache, cookies, etc.). Even change internet connection from LAN to WIFI at 2 different place. The main screen stays at shown in the image I posted. I don't understand why that happen either, was fine a few days ago. I think I'll let it be for mean time, will take some time to figure out what's wrong from my end. I'll need time to clear up the clog in my brain (have many things to do at the moment), when I'm free and have time to sit and think. I'll look back into this browser issue, normally when my brain is clear from the hussle and bussle, solution start pouring in on its own. Must be a problem from my end since you guys reported not having the same problem. Anyway thanks for your reports.
I say accept the loss, it was just a few post a gif pics, and post a random pics that ill miss, other then those, let it die
Yup... no worries, have re-do the lost posts and updates. Its over, lets move on with the routines. Edit: My Main User Interface issue has been resolved, not sure how. but it just did on its own. Anyway many thanks.
Yup, we just have to get over it and move on. I've re-up my media fire links to my topic. Will restore the images later. I still have the unedited originals in the recycle bin. Post Merge: [time]1332236846[/time] Anyone noticed this on Romulation's User Main Page? I think its not right. I had clean up my cache, cookies, etc. to see if its just me. But seems like its not. Notice the locations I marked in yellow circle. There's been an overlap due to there having 2 scroll bars to the right. Could use some fixing when possible. It looks strange having the actual page hidden behind the white layer.
I have had a few occurences like that, so you're not the only one who saw those. Kind of stupid if you ask me.
