ROMCOM CUP Raising FUN's for Romulation (Mario Kart DS)

Well I tried one of these for Wii and revealed the unfortunate fact that no one here plays Mario Kart Wii. There were some comments saying that they would compete in a DS tournament. So here it is...

It's an online tournament with a strange name ('ROM' is short for Romulation, 'COM' is short for Community).

Anyone wishing to enter post your MARIO KART name, your friend code and your current time zone (please specify if it is Daylight Savings)
This is how it will work:

We are looking for 12 people to compete. From there they will form 3 groups of 4 with the top 2 from each group progressing to the final 8 with the bottom 2 from each group to race a qualifying Grand Prix with the top 2 filling in the last 2 spots in the final 8. From there they will race one final Grand Prix to decide the winner.

(Rules subject to change depending on time zones and/or people competing. Any questions about anything, please comment or pm me)

AND PLEASE! NO HACKING! IT RUINS IT FOR EVERYONE!

I would really love to join this tournament, but I did not bring my DS to college. Thanksgiving break is coming up, which is a little over a week from now. I can send my friend codes to you then, however you guys do not need to wait on my behalf. Thank you very much for your consideration and I will be looking forward to seeing the results of the tournament,

oh and can I give a few ideas?

1.the match will be set default at november 30. if there are 12 users that have joined before then, the match will begin 5 days after that.

2. no using of unlockable characters. only the default characters. some users have all the chars unlocked and some don't. that would be considered cheating

3. with permission, I'd like to make a chatango site for this competition to monitor who cheats who doesn't as well as a score recorder.

I'm sure in a week wee still wont have enough people so you should be fine.

I guess that seems ok as long as everyone else is on board. As with the chatango site. As long as you make it, thats fine.
