rom version question

    i've been noticing that a bunch of snes roms have a v1.0 and v1.1. could anyone tell me whats the difference between them because i want to play ff3 but no sure which version i should play. thanks.

    Hey it says that in Version 1.0 there are a few bugs and in version 1.1 there might be fixed !

    ah cool thanks a lot.

    i have 1 more question. in this final fantasy II rom there's

    Final Fantasy II (U) (V1.0) [!]
    Final Fantasy II (U) (V1.1)

    now the version 1.1 rom doesn't have a ! (or any letter at the end like most roms do to let u know if it's a hacked version, bad dump, verified good dump, etc). so does that mean that it was never tested before or what?
