ROM crashes computer, cant load.

I have the Ideas emulator because i want to record the DS gameplay to put on youtube. The first ROM I tried was Age of Empires, AOK. Worked PERFECT. Serious! Ok, I decided AOE was a not as action-oriented as I thought. So I tried downloading GTA: Chinatown Wars and Pokemon Platinum. What happens? I load the GTA ROM. OK. I press the play button. KA-BOOM. My computer crashes, then restarts and tells me "Windows has recovered from a serious/critical error. Send/ Don't send error report.

What do I do so that I can play games other than Age of Empires? (AOE still works perfectly.)

Edit: I downloaded a Zelda game. That doesn't work either. Please help.

 

Which emulator are you using? Are you using No$GBA 2.6a?

 

No, he's using iDeaS. Something about needing to record gameplay.

Unfortunately for him, using that instead of no$gba is probably why his games crash. But I don't see why they are shutting down his computer. Last time my computers started shutting down like that was due to corrupted RAM, and when ever it accessed the bad sector of RAM it would fatal error and reboot my computer. Maybe something like that is what is happening, since your emulator would likely use a lot of your RAM, parts that aren't used while just browsing.

 

Just use the no$gba 2.6a then.

Could you post your computer's specs?

He can't because it crashes.

 

I tried nocash with Age of Empires works fine. *goes to try out zelda*


Wait, saw what you guys posted. I can post my specs, the game only crashes when I load GTA or Pokemon Platinum on Ideas. And I was planning to record with hypercam. When I said I want to record I meant, I'd reather record from an emu on my computer than with my camcorder in my shaky hand.

use the no$zoomer as well.
It will boost your no$gba performance..

 

Alright, It worked on pokemon and zelda. But both havew very sketchy audio. Had to disable it. What's no$zoomer?

 

Do not disable the sound on Pokemon, it will freeze.

Wait another question, what's no$zoomer?

 

It's an add-on for the no$gba emulator.

-Here's the language dll for English:
English dll by Squall Leonhart of NGEmu

-Put it in your no$zoomer's Lang folder
-Change your app's language through the 4th tab and then 7th option.
-Or edit your no$zoomer.ini.

What game is slow?
