Well, I've seen a couple of unlicensed rickshaws on the roads of Beijing. What do you think? Are they safe enough to be on roads? (Licensed or unlicensed?)
Well, in Beijing: A person was killed when the rickshaw: tipped over and got his by a bus. Besides, rickshaws only have a soft frame, so they're easy to get crushed....
i still dont see the point.... accident happen all the time, it just because accident happen it doesnt mean its not safe..... people have gotten kill while riding a bicycle? so is bicycle unsafe? people also gotten kill while walking... so walking unsafe?
no, no no! What i meant was about the rickshaw's poor design in its body! Well, with the exception of these.... Ive seen these in beijing all the time... especially in Russiatown, south beijing. Well.... meh.... i guess the mods can lock this.... sorry DX
same can be said to hourse cart and bull cart.... you think their design is flawed, but those thing been around longer then car......
the use of cart have been dated to second millennium B.C..... i'm pretty sure they dont have car back then. also IIRC Roman use them as battle cart, while Ancient china use them as transportation.
rickshaws... no rickshaws per se here in Indonesia, but a lot of "becak" (3-wheeled rickshaw with pedals). they're as safe as the person driving them
